Yurugy

by Micha F. Lindemans
The 'Pale Fox'-trickster of the Dagon people of Sudan and Mali. He is the antipode of the orderly and pure twins Nommo. He had incestuous affair with his mother (the Earth) which soiled the earth and made his father Amma leave this now un-pure place. Yorugu is associated with night and death, but also with divinity. He represents the unpredictable elements in life.
