Tiphys was a pilot for the Argonauts on the Argo, a giant ship, in Greek mythology. He was the original helmsman of the ship. He was endowed with super human skills and accompanied Jason, leader of the Argonauts, on the Argo. Tiphys died of an unknown illness. He was the son of Hagnias.
