Satirmu
Beings from Philippine folklore that appear as balls of fire, or as burning corn fields or hillsides. It is associated with unnatural deaths (locally called hilaw nga kamatayon) such as murders and drownings. Satirmu seems to be a corruption of St. Elmo 1.
1 St. Elmo's fire is a discharge of atmospheric electricity that appears as a faint light around pointed objects such as church towers or the masts of ships during stormy weather.
