Rauni

by Micha F. Lindemans
In Finnish mythology, the wife of the thunder-god Ukko. The name is derived from the Icelandic reynir, or the Swedish rönn, "rowan", a blessed tree which offers protection against evil spirits and which is often connected with Ukko.

The Finnish Lapps know a deity called Raudna and sacrifice reindeer to her as to Ukko himself.
