The supreme god of the Batak of Sumatra. Debata Mulajadi na Bolon (Debata, god; Bolon, great) had created the universe by stages, first engendering the three divinities which rank immediately after himself in the divine hierarchy. To create them, his wife Manuk Patiaraja laid three egg from which their children hatched. Those children were Batara Guru, Soripada, and Mangala Bulan.
