The mythical sky-god of the Bambuti (a tribe of Pygmies of the Ituri Forest of eastern Congo). At first he dwelt with the first men, who were his children, in a paradise-like land. He himself lived in a hut and told the people he did not wish to be seen. They disobeyed his command and he left. Since then, man is mortal.
