The creator-god and ancestral deity of the Kuba of DR Congo. He is master of life and death. He quarreled with his son Ngaan and went to heaven where he disgorged he sun, the moon, and the stars, followed by trees, animals, and humans. His wife is the earth mother and he is by her the father of Woot and Mweel.
