Lemminkâinen

by Micha F. Lindemans
Lemminkâinen is a character from the Kalevala. He dies, is put back together by his mother, and goes on his next adventure. As a child, his mother bathed him in water while chanting a spiritual song. This ensured that he would be wise and have musical talent for singing. He was always in search of a wife, so he was known as being involved with women.

The name is derived from lempi, which means love. This is fitting, because Lemminkäinen was always searching for love.
