The hero of a English metrical romance dating from the 13th century. His father, King of Sudenne, was killed by Saracen pirates who set young Horn and twelve other children adrift in a small boat. After many adventures he reconquers his father's kingdom. He later marries Rymenhild, the daughter of King Aylmer of Westernesse.
