One of several solar deities in Russian and East Slavic myth. Mentioned by the Primary Chronicle as one of the gods worshipped officially in Kievan Rus ¹ during the late 900s. Khors is a direct adaptation of Khursun, an Iranian sun god revered by the Scythians and Sarmatians.
