The Hindu protector of the north-eastern hemisphere (as successor of Soma). He is one of the Maruts, as well as the fifth manifestation of Shiva. Isha has five heads, ten arms and rides on a ram or a bull. His attributes are a book, a drum, an axe and a noose.
