A Mayan fertility god. He fathered the twins Hunahpu and Ixbalangue on a virgin. During a ballgame in the underworld Xibalba he was beheaded. His head was attached to an infertile gourd, which immediately started to bear fruits. His sons avenged his death by killing the responsible demons.
