Hildesheim
A monk from Hildesheim, and old city of Hanover, who doubted how with God a thousand years could be as one day. He listened to the singing of a bird in the forest for what he thought was three minutes, but found that three hundred years had passed in stead.
The story was used by Longfellow in his Golden Legend (II) where the monk was called Felix.
