He Bo
In Chinese mythology, He Bo is a powerful river god, also called Bing-yi. He sacrificed himself by attaching rocks to his body and then plunging into a river, thus gaining immortality. This act led to the ritual of sacrificing a young girl by throwing her into the river as a bride of He Bo (this lasted until the end of the Zhou dynasty in 256 BCE). The moon goddess
Heng O is his sister.
