Ha-Shem
"The Name." The term used when referring to God. Ha-Shem is used to avoid pronouncing the divine tetragrammaton when it appears in the Hebrew text. It is used in phrases such as 'Barukh ha-Shem (Blessed be God). See also: Adonai.
