In the myths of the Taino (Caribbean), the servant of Guagugiana. When his master sent him out to find a medicinal herb, he was caught by the Sun's rays and turned into a beautiful bird with a wonderful song. Every year, on the anniversary of his transformation, he fills the air with his song, imploring Guagugiana to come and rescue him.
