Eschatological myths

The opposite of cosmogonical myths. In eschatological myths, both death and the end of the world are justified. An example can be found in Norse mythology: Ragnarok. Here, the gods themselves are killed and the world will be destroyed.

Greek: eschatos, end or ending.
