Devana to Czechs, Diiwica to Serbians of Lusatia, Dziewona to Poles. The goddess of the hunt. Young, beautiful, she rode a swift horse through the forests of the Elbe and the Carpathians, with a pack of hounds. Her name of cognate with the Roman goddess Diana.
